Nepal is an easy nation to enter; it is easiest to get the visa on arrival however it is also possible to get a visa from the Nepal Consulate in your own country. Visa fees were raised in July 2019, and are new updated below.

Nepal visa on arrival

• 48-hour visa (plus 24 hours free) for $5
• 15 days for $30
• 30 days for $50
• 90 days for $125

Payment on arrival by cash in any major currency however rates for other currencies are extortionate; USD is best.

You should pre-fill out the Department of Immigration visa form up to 15 days before arrival, and then print it.

Alternatively, you can fill out this same form on arrival on machines in the immigration arrival hall. Have a pen handy for the small arrival card which they collect sometimes.
