Travel Visa in Nepal

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, visa requirements and fees are subject to change, so it's important to verify the latest information from official sources. For the most accurate and up-to-date details, you should check with the nearest Nepalese embassy or consulate or visit the official website of the Department of Immigration of Nepal.

As a general guideline, as of 2022, Nepal has a visa-on-arrival system for citizens of many countries, including those from Asia. Here is a basic outline of the visa fees for foreign and Asian tourists:

  1. Visa on Arrival for Foreign Tourists:

    • 15 Days: USD 30
    • 30 Days: USD 50
    • 90 Days: USD 125
  2. Visa on Arrival for Asian Tourists:

    • 15 Days: USD 25
    • 30 Days: USD 40
    • 90 Days: USD 100

Please note that fees are typically payable in cash, and it's advisable to carry the exact amount in US dollars. The visa fees can be paid in other major currencies as well, but it's recommended to have US dollars for convenience.

Additionally, the visa-on-arrival process usually requires filling out an application form and providing a passport-sized photograph. It's advisable to have the necessary documentation, such as a passport with at least six months of validity remaining and a return ticket.

Keep in mind that immigration policies can change, and fees may be adjusted, so it's crucial to check the latest information from official sources or contact the nearest Nepalese embassy or consulate before planning your trip.
